Jon Hopkins announces 2020 Australian return

He slayed his Glastonbury headliner set, now Jon Hopkins is coming back to Australia.

Last in the country for this year’s Laneway Festival, English producer Jon Hopkins has announced he will bring his live AV show to Australian stages in January 2020.

Following on from 2013’s Mercury Prize-nominated Immunity, his fifth album – the Grammy-nominated Singularity – was acclaimed and loved by critics and fans alike when he released it back in 2018.

Since then, he has continued building and enhancing his live AV show – recently taking it around the US, Europe, and the UK, including a much-celebrated headline set at Glastonbury earlier this month.

Shaped by his experiences with meditation and trance states, the album flows seamlessly from rugged techno to transcendent choral music, from solo acoustic piano to psychedelic ambient – and the fact that he will be bringing it all to the intimate grandeur of Melbourne’s The Forum makes this visit even more special.
