The days are getting longer and the air is warming up, which can only mean one thing – summer is on its way, and so is another stellar By The C season. Their upcoming run is set to be extra exciting because the legendary Jimmy Barnes is leading the way.

When you think about great Australian singalongs, it’s hard to look past Jimmy Barnes and his incredible songbook. Spanning 20 albums – including a whopping 18 #1 albums (13 solo chart toppers plus five with Cold Chisel) – he has been providing the soundtrack to our summers for almost five decades.

Joining Jimmy Barnes on these stellar By The C concerts are an incredible array of Australia’s finest live acts including Jon Stevens, Mondo Rock, Ian Moss, Vanessa Amorosi, Killing Heidi, and more.

While the lineups slightly vary from stop to stop, one thing you can be certain of is that By The C will deliver the perfect mix of much-loved live favourites and huge singalongs in the sun with your best mates.

Since its inception, By The C has continued to deliver legends of the music world to some of the most scenic locations around the country.  Bask in the sun and ocean breeze while kicking back or dancing the day away to some of Australia’s best live music.

Absolutely Everybody

Alongside Jimmy Barnes – who, by the way, has sold more records in Australia than any other local rock & roll artist, and has more Australian #1 albums than The Beatles – By The C is delivering an absolutely huge lineup of Australia’s best.

Recognised as one of the most talented rock musicians to emerge from Australia in recent memory, Jon Stevens‘ career is phenomenal. As well as his incredible solo run, he has also found success as as the lead singer of Noiseworks, INXS after the death of his friend Michael Hutchence, and the Dead Daisies.

Respected as one of Australia’s iconic musicians, Ian Moss delivers an unforgettable sound – not only as a telling soloist on guitar but especially with his silken voice, ringing with clarity and resonating with pure soul. Alongside success as the founding mainstay guitarist and occasional singer of Cold Chisel since 1973, he has also gone on to release six incredible solo albums.

For more than a decade, Mondo Rock dispensed punchy pop-rock. Between 1977 and 1991, the Australian charts were enriched by their hits. The first time Mondo Rock came together in February 1977, the band’s first single ‘The Fugitive Kind’ made top 30 nationally – the first of 17 Mondo Rock hits. After taking a break in 1980, Ross Wilson reemerged with a new band and a new sound – continuing the Mondo Rock legacy for years to come.

With blues music in his DNA, Diesel first launched into the music industry with his band ‘Johnny Diesel & The Injectors’ in 1986 before embarking on a solo career in 1991. With over 35 singles, 16 albums, and six ARIA awards to his name, blues music is in his DNA. It’s been just over three decades since the release of his debut album Johnny Diesel and the Injectors – so expect a huge celebration.

Vanessa Amorosi remains one of the most exciting singers on the planet. Her songwriting and dynamic vocal range have seen her sell over two million records worldwide, thanks to six critically-acclaimed studio albums, and score 16 ARIA and APRA nominations.

Killing Heidi celebrated a pretty big anniversary back in 2020, two decades since the release of their rock-pop debut Reflector. And still, more than 20 years on, the Violet Town siblings are finding their explosive power pop more entrenched in the Oz rock pantheon.

Jimmy Barnes will headline the 2022 By The C concert series in February and March 2022. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au
