Ghost, Slayer, Alice In Chains announce headline shows

Can't make it to Download Festival? Want an extra slice of the action? Ghost, Slayer, and Alice In Chains have you covered.

Download Festival Australia is fast approaching, and we are so ready for the monsoon of metal that is about to hit our stages.

But if you can’t make it to the festival, or maybe you want an extra slice of the mayhem, rest assured because the sideshows are rolling in thick and fast.

Two of thrash metal’s big four are set to join forces under one roof when Slayer and Anthrax storm through Brisbane’s Riverstage. If that wasn’t enough, they’ll also be joined by Polish dark lords Behemoth so we’re certain mayhem will ensue.

Alice In Chains will bring their first album in five years, Rainier Fog, to Aussie stages. As well as their Download Festival sets, the legends are now set to storm through Eatons Hill in Brisbane for a one-off headline show.

Finally, Swedish heavy metallers Ghost will bring their new album Prequelle to Brisbane’s The Tivoli. The band’s first album with Cardinal Copia handling vocal duties, Prequelle delves into the plague, the apocalypse and the dark ages.
