If you love Australian music and care about the people who make it, then you want to get behind #AusMusicTshirtDay this year.

AusMusic T-Shirt Day is a massive nation-wide celebration of Australian music that reminds us how lucky we are to have such a strong local music scene, with some of the world’s best artists coming out of our own backyard. But many people throughout the industry – both those onstage and those behind the scenes – are doing it tough. That’s where Support Act come in.

Support Act raise vital funds for artists and music workers who are experiencing financial hardship, ill health, injury, or mental health issues. This year they also launched a wellbeing hotline, staffed by professional counsellors 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, who offer expertise in all areas related to mental health (including depression, anxiety, addiction, suicidal ideation) we well as issues which can be mental health related (such as loneliness, relationship breakdown, financial worries, illness and workplace conflict).

Whether you are an artist, music worker or music lover, we invite you to join us in wearing your favourite band tshirt, making a donation, and sharing your band shirt pictures using the hashtag #ausmusictshirtday and #ausmediatshirtday and tag in @supportact and @ticketmasterau.

You can join our team by heading here.

Don’t have a tshirt? Head to Support Act’s merch site here, or visit the website of your favourite artist and grab one, you still have time.

AusMusic Tshirt Day will take place on Friday November 16 – we’d love for you to join us.
