Download Festival lineup gets even bigger
We're in too deep.
If you thought the Download Festival 2019 lineup couldn’t get any better, guess again.
They aren’t holding anything back with their second round of additions, from nostalgia-packed pop-punk to ferocious Brits and the best up and comers — Download 2019 is set to pack an absolute punch.
Sum 41 (Only Aus Shows)
Pennywise (Only Aus Shows)
Thy Art Is Murder
Polaris
Twelve Foot Ninja
Slaves
Voyager
’90s pop-punk kids (or those of us still living off the fumes of our nostalgia) will be freaking out at the news that Canadian rockers Sum 41 are heading up this second round of acts as we sing In Too Deep at the top of our lungs. SoCal legends Pennywise will also blast onto the scene to provide us with three decades worth of punk gold and we are (not) ready.
There’s always mayhem when Sydney deathcore act Thy Art Is Murder take to the stage, so we’ll expect nothing less from them, while Polaris are set to back up a couple of phenomenal years jampacked with huge tours and an incredible album with a Download set of their own.
Two more Aussie acts we can’t wait to be in the pit for are Melbourne outfit Twelve Foot Ninja and Perth force Voyager who are set to inject a bit of prog into the lineup.
Rounding up this awesome gathering are UK punk duo Slaves who will bring their ferocious live show and ripping new album Acts of Fear and Love to their loyal Aussie fans.
Is there more awesome news to get on a Wednesday morning? What’s even better is that there’s still more to be announced.
