Billy Idol set to rock Australia

Punk superstar, Billy Idol, is set to hit our shores in 2015 with the legend announcing he will tour Australia for the first time since 2002.

Idol will be performing all his amazing hits at arenas and wineries throughout Australia as part of the Kings and Queens of the Underground Tour.

As well as appearing at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong (March 18), Billy Idol is set to rock various wineries as part of the ‘a day on the green’ format. He will appear at Kings Park & Botanic Gardens in Perth (March 14), Rochford Wines in Victoria’s Yarra Valley (March 21), Leconfield Wines in South Australia’s McLaren Vale (March 22), Bimbadgen Winery in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley (March 28) and Sirromet Wines in Mt Cotton, Queensland (March 29).

For his arena shows, Billy Idol will be joined by Cheap Trick and he will be supported by Choirboys, The Angels and Cheap Trick for the ‘a day on the green’ performances. It is an incredibly impressive line-up of local and international talent that is sure to provide attendees with an unforgettable night.

Billy Idol has had many global hits including White Wedding, Rebel Yell, Mony Mony, Dancing With Myself and Eyes Without a Face. American rock band cheap trick is best known for hits such as I Want You to Want Me, Surrender and the quintessential 1980s power ballad, The Flame.

Aussie rock legends The Angels have a host of classic hits including Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, We’ve Gotta Get Out of This Place and Take a Long Line. Aussie rock group Choirboys are well known for their hits Run to Paradise and Boys Will Be Boys.

The ‘day on the green’ events are always a highlight of the summer. With incredible scenery, amazing food and wine and a line-up on non-stop knock out entertainment, it truly is a fantastic day out. As well as reserved seating and general admission, the ‘a day on the green’ events offer an upgrade for the exclusive Garden Bar that includes express entry, a gourmet BBQ, premium parking, private facilities and a private, cash bar.
