There’s a stack of Alex Lahey news rolling in today – not only do we get a new single, but there’s also news of an incoming album AND tour details. Paint us excited!

Calling in to triple j this morning, Lahey announced her new album, The Best of Luck Club, will be released this May. On top of that, she also gave early morning fans an extra treat by premiering new single Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself – her first new track since 2017’s I Love You Like A Brother.

To finish the perfect trio, Lahey also delivered news that she will be taking the new single and album around Australia this June.

Of the single, Lahey says, “I wrote this song for my partner who was on tour and was feeling the fatigue and stresses of the road, as we all do. It doesn’t matter how capable or strong or resilient you may be, we all have bad days, and that’s ok. There’s nothing wrong with feeling tired after a hard day’s work and sometimes I have to remind myself of that too.”

Lahey tour extensively around Australia and internationally off the back of her debut album, I Love You Like A Brother. The album peaked at #15 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and scored a Breakthrough Artist Nomination at the 2018 ARIA Awards, as well as seeing her make her American TV debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers, and perform at festivals including Falls and Splendour in the Grass at home as well as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and more in North America.
