River Rink in Fed Square

What better way to embrace the chilly Melbourne winter than a day of energetic ice skating? The Snail and the Whale

Australian Ice Hockey League  
Melbourne Mustangs

The ice is cold, but the competition is hot! The mighty Melbourne Mustangs will be entertaining the crowds at Docklands’ O’Brien Group Arena during the school holidays, taking on the Sydney Bears and Perth Thunder. If you love the action of ice hockey, get along to support the local side.

Futsal Oz Live

Some of the world’s best Futsal players will be strutting their stuff at the State Netball Hockey Centre as part of Futsal Oz Live. Futsal is a fast-paced, high-energy sport, which is essentially indoor soccer. The biggest names in Futsal, including Brazil’s Falcao, Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich and the captain of Brazil’s national women’s side, Vanessa Pereira, will all be there to entertain the fans.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition

Get up close the personal with dinosaurs at Jurassic World. OK, they aren’t exactly real dinosaurs, but believe us, this is the closest you will ever get to seeing the real thing. The highly anticipated exhibition is now showing at the Melbourne Museum. AFL – Hawthorn v Gold Coast

OK, we know this isn’t quite within school holidays, but it close enough and the footy is a great event for the whole family. AFL footy is heading to Launceston in Round 14 with Hawthorn taking on the Gold Coast SUNS. The Hawks have made Aurora Stadium a happy hunting ground over the years and they will be looking to continue their winning ways against Gary Ablett’s SUNS.

AFL – Gold Coast SUNS

It might be cold outside, but the action on the field at Metricon Stadium is sure to sizzle!
