Ticketmaster’s Guide to Venue Check In and Vaccination Verification on Event Day

We're making event day even simpler for you!

As Australian entertainment fans continue to return to live events, Ticketmaster is working closely with State governments, venues, and promoters to make the ‘Return To Live’ as easy as possible for you.

We understand that there are some new changes to get your head around, so we have been working behind the scenes to ensure you can get back to the magic of live as easily and safely as possible.

Our latest update – Ticketmaster’s COVID-VAXCheck – is here to do just that, making it possible for you to check-in on the go, avoid crowding at venue entry, and get inside in just a few simple steps.

Once you purchase your tickets, seven days before your scheduled event day you will receive an event reminder email from Ticketmaster.

In this email will be everything you need to know before event day – including State and venue COVID entry requirements. This will help you prepare for anything new well in advance.

On event day, you will receive an SMS** and an email from Ticketmaster containing a link that takes you straight to the venue’s Covid Check-In page as well as links to view your tickets – either in the Ticketmaster app or using Ticketmaster’s website in your mobile’s web browser.

**Please note: The SMS will come from “Ticket Info” – this is the official Ticketmaster SMS account.

What does this mean for me?

Ticketmaster’s integrated COVID VAXCheck solution ensures the simplest, most convenient event day process – allowing you to quickly check in and access your Ticketmaster tickets in a few clicks, keeping venue entry simple while also keeping you safe.

Instead of having to crowd around the front of the venue waiting for other fans to scan the QR check-in code using their phone camera, as you approach the venue, all you have to do is open the Ticketmaster SMS, and select the first link to immediately check in. That way, by the time you get to the front of the venue, you already have your proof of vaccination ready to show venue staff.

Then, by simply returning to the Ticketmaster SMS, and clicking the link to either Ticketmaster’s app or website you can quickly and easily access your Ticketmaster tickets, ready to get you inside and enjoying live entertainment again.

What do I need to prepare before event day?

There are a few steps you can take before event day to ensure the entry process is as easy as possible.

  • —You have Ticketmaster’s app downloaded and logged in on your phone OR you are logged in to your Ticketmaster account via a mobile web browser
  • —Your phone is charged with enough power, and your brightness is turned up all the way
