It's un-baaa-lievable!

Leading acrobatic performance company, Brisbane-based Circa Contemporary Circus joins forces with world-renowned UK animation studio Aardman (Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep) to create Shaun the Sheep’s Circus Show – and it’s coming to Melbourne this April.

While we’re sure you’re already familiar with the much-loved TV show about a naughty sheep and his mayhem-filled adventures, Shaun the Sheep’s Circus Show will take audiences on an imaginative journey that meshes specific elements of the TV series with physical theatre and acrobatic skills, to deliver these exciting and memorable stories in a refreshing, new way.

We all know Shaun doesn’t follow the flock – in fact, he leads them into all sorts of scrapes and scraps. Whether they’re tormenting the weary postman or escaping the havoc of a runaway tyre, Shaun and his pals run rings around poor sheepdog Bitzer and the oblivious Farmer. Every day brings a new adventure for Shaun.

But the real joy of Shaun the Sheep’s Circus Show is, of course, the breathtaking acrobatic courtesy of Shaun and his array of animal friends including Timmy, Bitzer, the flock, and even the pigs. They’ve got a lot in store for you, with incredible feats of daredevil acrobatics and vibrant circus skills all on the cards.

Teeming with clever humour creating feel good laugh-out-loud moments, this fun for all ages spectacular seamlessly fuses movement, dance, theatre, and circus; masterfully taking these much-loved characters and stories from the screen to the stage.

Shaun The Sheep first showed his face in Wallace & Gromit ‘A Close Shave’ back in 1995, before landing his own TV series and two movies, and winning over families around the world.

Shaun The Sheep’s Circus Show will transform Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from Wednesday 14 April. Tickets are on sale now via
